WORLD’S OLDEST MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE FOUND NEAR LANCELIN

On Sunday January 21st, 2018, Lancelin resident Tonya Illman came upon a bottle on a beach-side sand dune just north of Wedge Island in Western Australia. LANCELIN LOOKOUT UPGRADED

Visitors and locals will be thrilled by the upgrade to the Lancelin Lookout which was completed mid-June.     Members of the LDCA, in particular Jan Cardy, Andrea Moss and Kathy Thomas were instrumental in progressing the upgrade. The Bendigo Bank contributed $44,000 towards the project after the LDCA enlisted their help. The Shire of Gingin funded the balance and the result is impressive.
