If you were heading north on Indian Ocean Drive around 10.30am this morning you would have found a plethora of carrots strewn all over the northbound lane just north of the Lancelin turn off. It’s unsure who lost some of their load but anyone who owned a horse would have done well to get out there and grab their share of the uncrushed ones…. Read More

Those of you who drive Indian Ocean Drive often, know that scenes like this can appear at any time. This ultra-vivid rainbow was certainly a world beater. If you’re going to be in Lancelin soon, you will be warmly welcomed. There’s sand boarding and quad bike tours (book at www.lancelin.com.au), surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing (if the wind is up), long walks on the beach, sunset spectating at the lookout plus… Read More
If so, the waters off Lancelin are perfect for getting out and about like this adventurous jet skier. He parked his car on the Back Beach and launched his ski right there. If you’re planning a trip to town (and if you’re not I highly recommend it), bring a blanket or a sleeping bag and a pillow, and fix your gaze on the stars on a clear night. You’ll be… Read More

There is plenty of it around the town starting with these delightful birds on our beach. There are also dolphins and sea lions, osprey, numerous birds, foxes, roos, emus and the occasional echidna, although you’d be very fortunate to see one of them now that visitor… Read More
Hands up of you’re going to be in Lancelin this weekend. Today was a picture perfect day in town and if you’re going to be up here this weekend consider enjoying a meal at the Endeavour Tavern’s beer garden or a drink at the front bar of the Lancelin Beach Hotel at the north end of town. Both are full of character (and characters) and we’re less than 90 minutes… Read More
