The tiny coastal town of Lancelin (population <700) is already popular with quad/motorbike riders and off road enthusiasts but more and more tourists are heading to Lancelin to fish.
Heading to sea (make sure you have a licence) puts you in prime territory for some of the world’s best table fish like dhufish, snapper, bald chin groper and 8 bar cod.
Alternatively stay on dry land and fish from the jetty for herring, samson fish and whiting. Bait and tackle are available from Lancelin Gull Roadhouse and Have A Chat General Store. And remember, there is a demersal fishing ban that lasts 2 months that starts Oct 15th.
